Gil Ferrer opened the original salon on Madison Avenue in New York in 1975. When it closed, his wife Marisa carried the name out to Bridgehampton, where the salon has stood for more than twenty years — family-run, open the whole year round, and held to the standards Gil set. He consults here still.
Vincent learned Gil’s cutting technique from him first-hand. Elizabeth brings a blend of artistry and precision to every appointment. The team has grown since, and is growing still — every stylist who joins works to the same standard.
Marisa

Marisa started our Bridgehampton salon and owns it, balancing owner and stylist — and she is the heart of the place. Married to Gil Ferrer, she brought his standards to the Hamptons and built the salon around them. She is direct, and she does not let things slide. If something is not right you will hear about it, usually before the client would have noticed — which is the whole point, and it is why the salon still runs the way it does after all these years. The standard has never been allowed to drift, because she has spent a long time making sure it doesn’t. Sit in her chair and you get the same thing the salon gets: her full attention until it is right.

Elizabeth has been part of the Gil Ferrer Salon family for more than twenty years, bringing a blend of artistry and precision to every appointment. Her keen eye for detail means she thrives on crafting personalized styles that enhance each client’s individuality. Whether working with various hair lengths or perfecting color and keratin treatments, her goal is to make you feel confident and renewed. Known for her warm demeanor and genuine communication, Elizabeth takes her time with each client, so that a visit to the salon is not just an appointment, but an experience where you feel truly valued.

Vincent began his career at the original Gil Ferrer Salon on Madison Avenue, where he trained under Gil Ferrer and learned his cutting technique first-hand. He has been with this salon in the Hamptons for more than twenty years, and in that time he has worked out his own way of doing things — practised, efficient techniques that let him see as many people in a day as he possibly can without taking anything away from the one in his chair. The speed comes from knowing exactly what he is doing, not from rushing you. Cuts, color, highlights, balayage and keratin are all his, whether you want a straightforward trim or a full change before an event.
